Description

Description

Description: The so-called Tieguanyin tea is oolong tea made from the Tieguanyin variety tea tree, and there is also a saying that the name “Tieguanyin” is given by the Qianlong emperor. Harvested from the lush tea gardens of China’s Fujian province, this extraordinary tea captivates the senses with its intricate flavor profile, enchanting fragrance, and artistry behind its production.

Intricate Flavor Profile: Tie Guan Yin is known for its complex and layered taste, offering a harmonious blend of floral, fruity, and roasted notes. With each sip, you’ll encounter a delicate balance of orchid-like floral tones, a subtle sweetness reminiscent of ripe fruits, buttery bread, and a gently roasted undertone that adds depth and complexity. The interplay of these flavors creates a tea experience that is both captivating and rewarding.

My partner and I picked up a pack of this tea at the Redondo Beach Farmer’s market yesterday! We came home and made two servings for ourselves. We also were able to steep it three times after and it honestly tasted even more amazing! It’s extremely clean and even sweet without needing to add any sugar at all. I normally don’t like tea unless it has a lot of sweetener in it so this is a first for me. It’s easily one of the best teas I’ve ever had!

This tea has the most beautiful fragrance and delicious flavor. It can be re-steeped multiple times which means your purchase lasts longer than you might expect!

Amazing aroma, the fragrance is quite special. The scent comes through in the very mild, slightly sweet flavor. Along with the gentle green oolong you will fall in love with this osmanthus oolong blend as I have. This tea affects every one of my senses and wakes them gently with a whisper. My first time even hearing of osmanthus and I in awe. It needs nothing added to it, this tea is absolutely delightful on its own. I contacted Teawaves and bought more for gifts over the holidays. It is a new favorite of mine. The quality is unmatched.

I first tried this tea at a farmer’s market in LA and was hooked right away. Since then, I??e moved to another state and I still keep ordering it. It?? that good!
I usually brew it for ~3 minutes at ~180F, which gives a really nice floral flavor and no bitterness, just really clean and mellow.
Honestly, one of my all-time favorite teas!
