Description: Jasmine Tea originated from FuZhou, China 800 years ago. The emperor had wanted to retain the summer jasmine fragrance for the rest of the year. To please him, tea makers in the south of China invented a process to allow the tea to absorb the aroma and taste of the flowers. What differentiates the highest grade of jasmine pearls from the white bud jasmine is the jasmine pearls are a hand-rolled green leaf and rather than sifting the flower petals against the young roasted green leaf, the tea maker will place the rolled green leaf into the unbudded flower until it blooms, which usually takes three weeks.
